UN Tourism inaugurates new headquarters in Madrid

The nearly 10,000-square-meter headquarters, located next to Madrid’s Congress Palace, was designed with sustainability criteria and is expected to further strengthen the Spanish capital’s role as a hub for international tourism cooperation.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said the opening of the new headquarters reflected Spain’s commitment to multilateralism and underscored the country’s leading role in the global tourism sector.
