Sentore Athanase passed away last evening (Wednesday) at 7PM local time. The renowned cultural artist died at a Mumbai hospital in India where he has been receiving treatment for more than seven months.
Born in 1934, Sentore succumbed to a liver disease which he had suffered for the past two years.
He had eight children including two sons and six daughters and twenty grand children and one great grandchild.
The late Sentore is the father of popular artist Masamba Intore.
