Genocide Survivors in Kayonza & Rwamagana to get Treatment

{{A team of specialist doctors from the Rwanda Military hospital is expected to travel to Kayonza and Rwamagana districts to offer treatment to survivors of genocide that sustained various injuries and ailments owing to the 1994 genocide against ethnic Tutsi’s in Rwanda.}}

The treatment will start on Tuesday under an arrangement made by FARG- a National Assistance Fund for Needy Survivors of Genocide and the Rwanda military hospital.

According to statistics, about 407 people in Kayonza will received medical attention during the tour meanwhile over 602 people in Rwamagana have been identified for treatment.

However, Jean de Dieu Udahemuka of FARG says those who have not registered will also receive medical treatment as long as they have required medical documents.

Over 18,080 survivors have so far received specialized medical treatment from 11 districts.
