Rwandan outstanding Diaspora in entrepreneurship for Brussels Excellence Prize

Rwandan diaspora will, for the first time, attend an award giving ceremony that will recognize Rwandans in the diaspora with outstanding deeds and entrepreneurship.

The ‘Excellence Prize’ inception came after criticisms that the Rwandan diaspora in Belgium have attained and got involved in outstanding activities of valuor that are profitable to the society, and mostly the youth, but were never acknowledged for that.
The “Excellence Prize” award will be held in Brussels, Belgium on the 28th May 2016.

Ejo Heza Group, the organizers, confirmed the attendance of members from 16 countries; United States of America, Canada, France, Norway, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, Poland, Germany, England, Cyprus, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Belgium. Apart from the countries that have already confirmed their presence, many other countries are expected to partake.

Ejo Heza Group coordinator, Jean Pierre Ndayisenga thanked the group members for their dedication and sacrifice during the preparation of the event and expressed the wish to see the Excellence Prize getting embraced by all the Rwandan diaspora. He observed that the event will allow Rwandans to stand out and show their innovations.
Ndayisenga noted that this will be just the beginning, but many Rwandans will be brought in the loop in the future as it gains prominence.

The prize founders consented that the next ceremonies will be preceded by competitions where contestants will exhibit their undertakings and therefore allow the Rwandan diaspora from all around the world to participate.

The projects that will be chosen will be based on arts, literature, poetry, health, education, theater and technology among others.A qualified jury will be in charge of evaluating the most remarkable projects. This event is set to happen on a yearly basis and was instigated by the “Ejo Heza” group formed by Rwandans from all the corners of the world.
