{{A delegation of 3 Officers led by Col Leterbrhan Kahasy Berish from Ethiopia Defence Force Women Affairs Center of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia are in Rwanda since on 17th June on a five day study.}}
The Delegation paid a curtsey call on Cheif of Defence Staff, Lt Gen C. Kayonga and the Minister of Defence, Gen J. Kabarebe.
The Ethiopian Defence Force delegation will be breifed on the RDF, particularly the role played by Women in RDF during the liberation, development and peacekeeping.
Shortly after their arrival, in the afternoon of 17 June, the Ethiopian delegation accompanied by the Head of RDF Gender Desk, Maj Margaret Batamuriza visited Kigali Genocide Memorial Center.
After laying wreaths at mass graves where over 250,000 victims of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi were buried, the delegation toured different parts of the Memorial and received an explanation of the history of Rwanda from the pre-colonial period to the genocide against the Tutsi.
From the visit at Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, Col Leterbrhan Kahasy said that human being can change bad things to good ones.
“I saw the Memorial, this is very difficult and suffering, but I think human kind can change bad thing to the good thing, I hope that this country is in good way”, said the Head of Ethiopian Defence Women Affairs Center delegation.
