No sooner had she left to get him cigarette, than the suspect did the inhuman act.

The heartless act was reported by a neighbor, who was bypassing and heard the baby groaning.

The neighbor, who caught the suspect red-handed, then made an alarm attracting neighbours, who arrested the suspect and handed him over to police.

The victim’s parents were not at home at the time of the incident.

The District Police Commander, Superintendent Victor Rubamba condemned the act describing it as “inhuman and punishable.”
