The beneficiaries have been named “Radio Ambassadors” due to the fact that they represent Radio stations in their local communities.
While delivering the bicycles to beneficiaries, the Mayor of Gisagara District, Karekezi Leandre, confirmed that radio Ambassadors are stakeholders in the development of the District adding that their call-ins are the sign of good governance.
He added that bicycles will ease transport while searching for information around the District.
Nyirantare Donaciana, one of the Radio Ambassadors said that she uses Frw 300 daily to make a call-in.
She added that some people used to laugh at her saying that she was wasting money; However, Nyirantare assured they will no longer do the same adding the bicycle is the symbol showing that what she does is very important to their socio-economic development.
