Diarrhea Attacks 500 Teachers

IGIHE can reliably reveal that about 500 teachers marking national exams at Riviera High School are currently in a state of panic following a massive Diarrhea attack.

Six of the teachers have already been admitted to a yet unidentified hospital.

The Teachers are currently marking National Exams for the O-level (tronc-commun). The marking exercise is being conducted at Riviera High School.

Normally there are teachers who are residing at Riviera Campus and some mark exams and return to their respective homes.

On Sunday, December 2, it was established that the teachers were served food at lunch time and later dinner.

Later in the middle of the night at about 1:00 AM some teachers began rushing to toilets with running stomarchs. At that time the affected teachers didn’t think it would turn out to be a general problem.

It was until this morning that the situation worsened. Even those who do not reside at the campus are affected.

One of the Teachers who spoke to IGIHE on condition of anonymity said “I suspect the food we ate at lunch time on Sunday was contaminated because the teachers who didn’t share dinner with us are also suffering from Diarrhea.”

Another source at campus told IGIHE that they suspect the cooking oil used was expired and or the meat had been contaminated for staying longer in the fridge or poor storage.

The center supervisor said in a meeting with teachers at the center today that the Marking Exercise should continue.

He said other teachers should be on standby to replace others that might fail to continue with the marking.

Diarrhea is an increase in the frequency of bowel movements or a decrease in the form of stool. It is caused by Food poisoning which occurs when you swallow food.
