{An employee of AGRUNI cleaning company in Kigali city has beaten to death a one Uwamahoro Theodosie, a street vendor in an incident that took place at Nyabugogo taxi park.The incident happened around 12:00 yesterday in Nyabugogo cell of Kimisagara sector.}
An eye witness said that the woman who was carrying a box selling different items, had her box confiscated by law enforcers after which she followed them begging for mercy. One of the law enforcers turned around, punched her in the jaw whereupon she dropped dead.
“One of those people who took her merchandises returned and thumped her in the chest and jaw which made the deceased fall down. I immediately threw away the merchandise I had to see if I could provide air using my breechcloth as I saw her heart still beating. Another person came, touched her and found that she had died,” said one street vendor who was around when the incident occurred.
Witnesses at the scene of the tragedy called police to investigate the case and carried the dead body.
The spokesperson of Rwanda National Police in the City of Kigali city, Spt. Emmanuel Hitayezu has told IGIHE that Ndayizigiye is in custody at Nyarugenge police station from where he will be charged with murder.
