Even though he died 400 years ago, he lives through his works— poems and plays; which are still popular across the World. These include the popular Romeo and Juliet.
The British Council has organized an event to commemorate Williams Shakespeare dubbed ‘Shakespeare Lives in 2016’.
The Council has selected 14 students from the University of Rwanda who are getting trained on writing poems based on Shakespeare’s inspiration. The poems will be recited on 19th March 2016 during the event of commemorating Shakespeare to be held at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Rwanda.
Andréa Grieder, a poet who has been working closely with 14 trained students has told IGIHE that through Shakespeare’s inspiration, they prepared poems revolving around themes of love, jealousy, justice and forgiveness.
