{Rwanda and Japan government are ready to sign an agreement amounting to USD 19.5 million (Rwf 15 billion)that will help to distribute electricity in various parts of the country.}
The minister of finance and economic planning, Ambassador Gatete Claver will sign the agreements tomorrow on 8th March, 2016.
Japan government is a partner of Rwanda in different development projects including education sector where Rwandans have scholarship opportunities to study in Japan.
Last year Japan provided to Rwanda the support of Rwf 5.8 billion to avail safe water to more than 33,000 citizens in Eastern Province. This facilitation is additional support to 98,000 Rwandans who had been facilitated to access safe water since 2008.
