On ThursdayTumba College of Technology Staff and students paid tribute to over 50,000 bodies of Tutsi’s laid down at Bisesero Genocide Memorial Site located in Rwankuba Sector, Karongi District of Western Province.
Tumba College of Technology staff and students visited BISESERO Genocide Memorial Site in Karongi District, Western Province, the delegation of Fifty people from Tumba College of Technology was led by Eng. Pascal GATABAZI principal TCT, the Staff and Students made a tour at the site and were explained how the innocent Tutsis who lived in Nine districts of former Kibuye Prefecture were massacred by the Interahamwe militias as narrated by Dusabemariya Illumine in charge of Bisesero Genocide Memorial Site.
In his word Eng. Pascal GATABAZI, Principal Tumba College of Technology, Said that we have visited this memorial site so that we may keep on respecting and honoring our beloved ones who perished when we still needed them and therefore we shall always remember them and pay tribute to them”
He also said that it is the role of leaders to let the youth know “our history for them not to commit the same mistake again as a result of bad governance that created hatred which led to the genocide which massacred the lives of over one million innocent Tutsi’s in period of one hundred days.”
Tumba College gave a Support of one million Rwandan Francs (1,000,000) to BISESERO Genocide memorial Site and finally The TCT principal said that due to good leadership Genocide in our country cannot be possible again.
