Crane Bank has said it stands together with the nation to fight denial of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
This was revealed on Wednesday during a visit at Nyamata Genocide Memorial site.
At the site Kadafi Aimable the Manager of Nyamata Genocide Memorial Site explained them about the history of genocide in the Nyamata church which has been changed into Genocide Memorial site, and the genocide in former Bugesera in general.
Edigold Monday, the Managing Director of Crane Bank said that they stand together to fight the denials of the Genocide.
“We stand together with the nation to fight denial of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi and encourage this generation and the generations to come never again to allow such atrocities to happen. The denial dilutes the “NEVER AGAIN” resolutions and it should be fought. The Nyamata Site where we stand today is a big scar of what happened. Reconciliation does not call for denial but acceptance, repentance and forgiveness.” She said.
She added that “Crane Bank Family stands together with the rest of the nation to pay respect to the innocent lives that were brutally taken away in and around this church in 1994. We recognize all those who lost their lives in effort to save lives and restore peace as the courageous and the heroes of our nation.”
They agree with the achievement of unity and Reconciliation in Rwanda as she said “We applaud the government under the leadership of His Excellency President Paul Kagame for the various development and reconciliatory initiatives that have been undertaken.”
She Concludes “We call upon every Rwandan, as we remember our departed loved ones, to stand together in harmony to rebuild a nation that will never again be stained by blood. To be remembered as a nation that regained the dignity of life in full and not otherwise. Let everyone concentrate on the healing of the wounds and move forward. We believe in the Rwanda we have and know today and together we shall make it the Pride of Africa.
