TV1 and Radio 1 Boss has said he will sue Mayor of Rulindo District, Justus Kangwagye who recently said some journalists present a Genocide ideology referring to a TV1 Journalist who recently asked President Paul Kagame about recompense issue reported in Rulindo, Rusiga sector where each household has been asked to pay about Rwf 300,000 to repay properties of Genocide survivors lost in 1994 Genocide against Tutsi, IGIHE has learnt.
The Mayor made the allegation while speaking to the Minister of MINEAC who was visiting Rulindo District last week.
Kakooza Nkuliza Charles, the owner of TV1 and Radio 1 was frustrated by the mayor’s comment therefore he will take him to court unless he publically apologize for making comments that accuse his journalist to have a Genocide ideology.
Speaking to IGIHE, Kakooza said “Whether the Mayor comes here to Radio1 and TV1 or use TVR; what matters is that he should publically apologize for those accusations.”
“We have given him 30 days to apologize after expiration we will take him to court.” Kakooza added.
