BDEGL approves Loans to Banks in Rwanda, Burundi and DRC

The Board of Directors of the Development Bank of the States of Great Lakes (BDEGL) held the 70th ordinary meeting in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Among the Decisions which were made, the Board of Directors approved three loans of ten million American dollars (10,000.000 USD) to the National Development Banks namely:

-National Bank for Economic Development (BNDE) IN Bujumbura, Republic of Burundi: 2,000,00 USD,

-Finance Development Company (SOFIDE) in Kinshasa, DRC: 5,000,000 USD,

-Rwanda Development Bank (BRD) in Kigali, Rwanda: 3,000,000USD.

These loans are destined to strengthen the financing capacity of the local financial institutions in the productive projects of Small and Medium-size companies (SME) of the Member countries of the Economic community of the Great Lakes Countries.
