{{On June 30th, Green Party President Frank Habineza reported a case at Nyamata Police Station in Bugesera District alleging that one Jean Damascene Munyeshyaka, said to be the party’s organising secretary, was missing
Habineza, who was in company of Munyeshyaka’s wife alleged that he disappeared on the afternoon of June 27 from his residence in Nyamata town.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has since launched investigation and is working with family members to establish circumstances surrounding this alleged disappearance.
Family and party members and the general public are therefore urged to refrain from speculations and instead cooperate in the investigation process.
It should be noted that Rwanda National Police has encountered similar cases in the past including one of Omar Leo Oustazi, who was also a member of the same party, but it later turned out that he had staged his kidnap.
Rwanda National Police will keep updating the public and especially the concerned family members of developments. }}
Speaking exclusively to IGIHE on Thursday, Dr.Habineza said; “We have just recorded a statement at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Rwanda National Police, regarding the disappearence of DGPR’s Organising Secretary: Jean Damascene Munyeshyaka, we hope to get more updates next week.”
