The first lady Mrs. Jeanette Kagame today attended the graduation ceremony of 3037 youth that completed Work Readiness Training under Akazi Kanoze Program.
The event was held at Petit stadium involving 1522 Boys and 1515 girls who graduated after receiving training in entrepreneurship and customer care skills.
The first lady advised the graduates to start different income generating projects with the little resources they have and gradually grow.
The graduates were counseled to always seek extra skills training whenever there is an opportunity.
They were also advised on customer care improvement which is very vital in the growth of their businesses.
The trainings were conducted in the districts of Nyarugenge, kicukiro and Gasabo.
Through the sponsorship of Government of Rwanda, MINEDUC, WDA, MIFOTRA, RDB, Local Youth Serving organizations and Private companies.
Akazi Kanoze has enrolled 8,688 youth. 7162 have completed the Work Readiness Training.
Ngirabakunzi Solange Nahimana has started her business by using small interest loan to buy Water and Electricity from EWASA which she resells to clients. She earns Frw80 000 of revenue per day.
She started with a loan of Frw 500,000. Today she is able to pay for her studies at IPRC Kicukiro.
