The Pop-up Kigali: Summer Edition was a temporary shop set up at Urban Boutique in Kigali, where Haute Baso along with House of Tayo and Tsapa! displayed their latest work for customers to buy. This event took place on July 10th,2014.
Candy and Linda are doing great innovative work with their fashion line by sourcing leather and really attempting to hone the craft of leather work while building the capacity of the women and in men in their cooperatives.
They focus on creating leather products with a hint of African print. They discuss how they started working together after succeeding with their own fashion lines and their hopes to make Rwanda the go-to market for quality leather products by bringing in experts from Europe to train the women and men they work with in the cooperatives.
