Wheat Farmers Assured of Ready Markert

{{Wheat farmers in the Northern Province have been promised ready market for their produce.}}

The Governor of Northern Province Aime Bosenibamwe urged urged to consolidate their land and comply with crop regionalization program.

Bosenibamwe was launching the Agriculture Season B at Burera district.

Wheat is currently being grown in Burera district on over 9600 hectares.

Bosenibamwe told farmers to make sure that their produce will contribute to the economic growth of the country which eyes the GDP Growth of 11.5% as it is mentioned in the 2nd Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy.

He said farmers should cultivate to be able to feed their families and surplus for market to generate money from their harvest.

The Governor told farmers that government values wheat farming saying processing industries are ready to buy wheat from local farmers at reasonable prices.
