We can deliver energy to our people-Kagame

President Paul Kagame has requested African leaders to strive for Africa’s progress and extricate citizens from categories of most vulnerable people of the World.

Reports of various organizations place Africa among world continents with most vulnerable citizens.

Most of the countries that have stepped out poverty have prioritized construction of infrastructures including water facilities, roads, schools and energy among others considered as pillars for progress.

In a talk held on developing Africa’s energy and resisting climate change yesterday, president Kagame who attended the 51st African Development Bank’s summit said that Africa has all necessities to achieve goals but requires commitment.

“We are fed up with poverty and environment in critical conditions .The way towards overcoming such situations is investing in industries. We have a new vision, we started putting in much efforts as a whole continent , we are not too late,” he said.

President Kagame said that Rwanda has implemented a number of energy projects including dam constructions, methane gas extraction and conversion of insolation into solar energy.

President Kagame said that climate change resilience will be attained through Africans’ commitment towards addressing the matter.

The ongoing summit held in Lusaka will end tomorrow 27th May 2016.
