WASAC employees who forge statistics face prosecution

{WASAC employees who avoid practical execution of field work and instead forge statistics from their offices have been warned to avoid such malpractices or else face prosecution before the courts of law. }

The stern warning was yesterday sounded by the WASAC Chief Executive Officer, James Sano, during the official inauguration of WASAC new office building in Kacyiru sector, Gasabo district. He said the company is doing all that is possible to reduce accommodation expenses and warned employees that fail to effectively execute field work to desist from such malpractices.

“As branch officers, you have the ability to determine the direction of the company. But some workers who stay in office and forge statistics and other information should stand warned. Culprits of such malpractices will be brought before courts of law,” said Sano.

He said WASAC management has plans of building office blocs for five other branches in City of Kigali.

Dr. Munyaneza Omar, a WASAC board member requested staff to improve services delivered to the public as electricity is a very important input in economic development while the WASAC Kacyiru branch manager, Jeanne Musabyeyezu pledged better services saying the old offices were an inconvenience to many a client and so complicated service delivery.

“We are going to work from an improved office environment and so pledge better services to the public,” she said.

WASAC Kacyiru offices serve residents in five sectors of Gasabo district including; Kacyiru, Gisozi, Kinyinya and Nduba.
