{The University of Kigali has[ refuted allegations that a Rwandan man jailed in Burundi is a lecturer of the UoK->http://en.igihe.com/news/rwandans-jailed-in-burundi-cry-out-for-justice.html].}

This website has earlier published an article in which our sources told us that the jailed Rwandan by the name of Julien Hitimana is a professor at the University of Kigali

However the University has released a public notice which informs that Julien Hitimana has never been the University’s staff whether teaching or otherwise.

The Notice is read as follows:” We have read an article in Igihe.com to the effect that a Professor Jullien Hitimana detained in Burundi, was a Professor at University of Kigali. This is to put it on record for public information that, the said person has never been our staff whether teaching or otherwise. The University therefore has no association with the said individual at all.”
