Unstoppable Police Handball Club thrash UR-CASS

The Police Handball Club maintained its winning ways on Saturday when they thrashed University of Rwanda-College of Arts and Social Sciences (UR-CASS) 60-28 on day-five of the National League.

Police, who looked composed and determined throughout the game, struck 29 times in the first half before utilizing almost all chances in the second half to add more 31 goals.

Gilbert Mutuyimana, the match top scorer with 12 goals, increased his tally to 54 goals, the highest individual scores in the league so far.

With 15 maximum points, three ahead of second-placed APR and even leading in goal difference of 143, Mutuyimana, also the team captain believes this will be a repeat of last season’s success, when they conquered seven trophies.

“We are well facilitated and supported by Rwanda National Police and do enough training, and we believe nothing will stop us from enjoying another successful successive season,” said Mutuyimana.

The defending champions beat Kibogora Polytechnic 37-18 and Groupe Scolaire Rambura 51-19 in the previous games.
