{The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF in partnership with Rwanda’s Media High Council (MHC) is training journalists on ethical reporting of the issues related to children.

The workshop which is being held in Musanze in Northern Province wants to equip journalists with the knowledge on how children’s rights can be supported and protected through journalism.
Also Journalists are expected to acquire more knowledge on how they can organize children’s show fighting for their rights as part of their duty.
“The main reason of training on ethical reporting of children is to make sure people know how to handle children issues when it comes to media, and how media can be supportive in implementing children’s rights as Siddartha Shrestha the chief of communication advocacy and partnership in UNICEF said.
Besides this ethical reporting training, UNICEF is working in partnership with the Ministry of health, the MHC and other sectors that are relevant to children not forgetting media, he added.
This training was attained by different representatives from media houses, the staff members of UNICEF and MHC .
