A delegation of 5 teachers and students from Writhlington School in South West England say they have project that will teach Rwandan students how to care for Orchid flowers.
This was revealed to Mathias Harebamungu Rwanda’s State Minister of Primary and Secondary Education.
The Orchids are a diverse and widespread family of flowering plants with colorful and fragrant blooms.
The UK delegation revealed that Orchid project has been successfully implemented in countries like India, South Africa, Brazil, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Belize.
Simon Pugh-Jones who runs the project at Writhlington School has said that once the project implemented in Rwanda it will contribute to the socio economic development as well as attracting more tourists in Rwanda.
Harebamungu expressed gratitude towards Orchid project which he said would help promote conservation science in Rwandan schools.
