Uhuru Told to Emulate Rwanda President on Corruption Fight

Oburu said Kagame facilitated the prosecution of some of his close friends found guilty of corruption.

The former Bondo MP said Kagame did not mince his words in the struggle to end corruption in Rwanda.

He said Uhuru is only giving lip service.

“If you see a fish’s head is rotten, the rest of the body is also rotten,” he said.

He said Uhuru’s inner government circle is engrossed in grand corruption deals.

He said the corrupt executive is using Parliament to conceal their involvement in underhand deals.

Cord leader Raila Odinga asked Uhuru to rein in his close friends within the government perpetuating corruption.

Raila spoke on Saturday before leaving for an eight-day trip to China.

He said Kenya is almost going to the “dogs” due to the high level of corruption that has left the public in despair.

“We are in a crisis since corruption has gone the highest notch.”

Raila said Uhuru should walk the talk and crack the whip on individuals within his inner circles.

He cited the government, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, the judiciary and Parliament as areas affected by graft.

Raila was speaking at the funeral of Barack Odera Odinge in Siaya County.
