({{The New Times}}) {The Uganda Police is set to hand over Jean Pierre Birengabagabo, a suspected genocide fugitive, to Rwandan judicial authorities.}
According to Asan Kasinge, the Director of Interpol in the Uganda Police, Birengabagabo had evaded justice for over fourteen years in Uganda.
His deportation later today follows an Interpol Red Notice issued on the suspect for Genocide crimes he allegedly committed in Rwanda.
“He was illegally staying in Uganda. He has been disguising as a Pastor and has been running a church in Buwama” , Kasinge told The New Times in Kampala. Buwama is a town in Mpigi District.
Birengabagabo is said to have settled in Uganda after crossing over from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
