U.S. to send about 200 troops to “oversee” Gaza ceasefire deal

The task force will “oversee, observe, make sure there are no violations” of the deal, a senior U.S. official told reporters.

Members of Egyptian, Qatari and Turkish armed forces would be embedded in the U.S. team, according to the official.

The task force will “not be in Gaza,” another U.S. official said.
