{Rwandan Minister of Industry and Trade has called on Rwandans to join the Egyptian expo which is taking place in Kigali capital since October 29, 2014 to 9th Nov. 2014.}
Francois Kanimba says Rwandans attending the Egypt & Middle East Expo in Remera will not only buy but also gain knowledge about some of the foreign innovations which are being exhibited.
The Minister made the call on Thursday 29th Oct 2014 at the official opening of “Egypt & Middle East Expo”.
Speaking to Journalists shortly after the official opening, Minister Kanimba says “[…] This Expo is very important for Rwanda; Most of goods that Rwandans struggle to import from Egypt or from elsewhere are present in this Expo.”
He further requested Rwandans to come and learn from the Expo how they can also make exhibited stuff here in Rwanda.
He explains that Rwandans will be able to learn from Egyptians how to fabricate some of the stuff including how to use leather to make modern shoes, handbags and belts.
Products on show at the exhibition include home furniture, handcrafts, textiles, electrical appliances, jewelry and food products.
Among other new things that are available in the expo include modern kitchen kits, carpets in all size, clothes, clocks, necklaces, chairs, soaps, woods stuff, etc.
Rwanda said the expo would promote business partnerships among the countries participating as well as give Rwandan firms a chance to connect with their counterparts from Middle East.
Rwanda hosts this Expo for the fourth time.
