On Tuesday night, the thugs reportedly cut to death the 2 victims, injuring over 11 others and stole an assortment of merchandise from a local market.
Rwamagana District mayor Uwimana Nehemie confirmed to IGIHE saying the murder occured at Musha Trading center.
“the thugs killed 2 people at Musha trading center and later attacked three Market Guards using a machette and looted goods at the market”.
Supt. Christophe Semuhungu, the Police Spokesperson in Eastern Province condemned the incidence saying one suspect has been arrested. He added that the thugs comprise of a group of four members.
The arrested suspect was found in posession with over Frw200,000 cash of some of the money (Frw1M) stolen from residents.
