RDF accident victims laid to rest

{Three RDF soldiers who lost their lives in a fatal accident on Tuesday in Kicukiro were yesterday laid to rest. The late Pte Nsabimana J de Dieu (25yrs), Pte Ntakirutimana Egide (23yrs) and Pte Nikwigize Blaise (22yrs) were given a send-off at Kanombe Military Cemetery. }

Family members, RDF Generals, Senior Officers, Junior Officers and colleagues paid their last respects to the deceased comrades in a sorrowful ceremony.

The funeral ceremony was presided over by the Army Chief of Staff (ACOS), Maj Gen Jacques Musemakweli, on behalf of the RDF Chief of Defense Staff, Gen Patrick Nyamvumba.

“The RDF is really saddened to lose such very young and disciplined soldiers”, the ACOS told mourners as he conveyed heartfelt condolences and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families, on behalf the entire RDF family and on his own behalf.

Family members were extremely shocked for losing their loved sons but lauded them for their courage, patriotism and discipline, dedicated to serving the country.
