{Nyamirambo Military Court has postponed the trial of Lt Joel Mutabazi together with 14 accomplices to 2nd December 2013.}
The defendants appeared for the first time in Court on 25th November 2013
During the first appearance in the Court Lieutenant Mutabazi had told the court that he is unable to pay a lawyer so the court should see what to be done to grant him the right to the lawyer
To this end, the Court promised to contact the management of the prison where he is incarcerated to contact the Bar Association to look a lawyer for Joel Mutabazi.
The defendants are accused of illegal possession of weapons, spreading rumors in the international community for civil disobedience, terrorism, training a group of criminals and desertion.
Lt. Joel Mutabazi was a member of the guard of President Paul Kagame. He was arrested and extradited from Uganda to Rwanda, which did not please some of international human rights.
