{Ten shortlisted candidates for the final of the 2014 APO Media Awards were announced after participating in the competition initiated by the African Press Organization (APO), which presents itself as “the only broadcast network news releases in Africa “.

Ten finalists came from Kenya (3), Ethiopia (2), South Africa (2), and Burkina Faso (1), Ghana (1) and Rwanda (1).
The three winners will be announced on 29 September.
The APO Media Award recognizes journalists who have submitted work on Africa.
Articles are judged on their content, quality of writing and analysis, human dimensions and their impact on local communities.
