They said there has been no improvement and thus some of them want to invest in other crops other than tea.
However, the price that farmers are complaining about differ from the one established by the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB).
According to farmers the prices per kilogram range between Frw35/Kg and Frw36/Kg, while NAEB says these farmers receive about Frw100/kg of harvested tea.
Nzaramba Ndambe, the Deputy Director General at the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) has said new price for tea farmers will be adjusted to comply with the price on international market.
