The Swiss envoy in Rwanda Jacques Pitteloud, has said Rwanda has made significant progress in Health Sector adding that Rwanda cannot achieve sustainable development if Health sector is left aside.
Amb. Pitteloud made the remarks during his visit to Ruhengeri Hospital located in Musanze District in Northern Rwanda.
The Visit was in line with strengthening good relations that exist between Switzerland and Ruhengeri Hospital.
During the same event, Switzerland Ambassador was accompanied by Medical doctors who were to operate fistula patients at the Hospital.
Some of the treated patients in Ruhengeri Hospital have been with the disease for over twenty years , they thanked Swiss envoy for his advocacy.
Fistula is a severe medical condition in which a hole develops between both the rectum and vagina or between the bladder and vagina after severe or failed childbirth, when adequate medical care is not available.
