Swedish Investors Explore Opportunities in Rwanda

{{A delegation of ten Swedish investors is in Rwanda exploring opportunities especially in the energy sector.}}

The Deputy Director General of the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) Tony Nsanganira said that investors were introduced to many other opportunities adding that the visit is an excellent opportunity to explore other areas of cooperation and trade with Rwanda.

Members of the delegation include those from the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and the private sector in Sweden.

Currently Rwanda can export to Sweden coffee, tea, fruits and vegetables.

The representative of Sweden in charge of Trade, Ms. Charlotte Kalin revealed that the visit aims to promote various exchanges with Rwanda.

She hopes to find women entrepreneurs to work with her in the agro-industry.

There is a clear statement that those investors who come to Rwanda demonstrate a real commitment to carry on business, according to the Deputy CEO of RDB.

Birgitte Piippola for the Swedish private sector operating in East Africa added that this visit was for the sake of doing business in Rwanda, particularly in terms of methane gas and solar and wind energy.
