Suspected FDLR members nabbed in Tanzania

{Seven people claiming to be Ugandans and a Rwandese national were on Friday served PI notices for illegal stay and were repatriated to their assumed countries of origin, IGIHE has learned from Tanzania Daily News.}

A Legal Officer from Kagera Regional Immigration Office, Mr Gerald Maridai said “Initial investigations reveal that the foreigners were members of Rwandan rebel group- FDLR. The seven paid a fine of 10,000/- each and were served PI notices and repatriated,” he said.

He named the aliens as Umaru Habonimana (50), Bizimana Sylvester (47), Minani Philipo (47), Ngiosanga Hilau (35), Nsasira Saad (41) and Mihigo Viatori (42), claim to hail from Uganda and Harindintwali Jean-Claude (30), a Rwandan national.

Mr Maridai said the aliens were nabbed on September 9, this year at Mutukula village, in Misenyi district while hiding at a house owned by Yahya Kanyangemu (52).
