Students of ICK Access Program to Graduate

The second group of students benefiting from the ICK Access Microscholarship Program will graduate next week on Monday at Kabgayi Catholic Institute.

The English Access Microscholarship Program (Access Program) is a U.S. State Department program that provides a foundation in English language skills to talented students aged 13 to 20 from economically disadvantaged sectors through after school classes and intensive summer learning activities.

The program began with 40 students from 3 secondary schools, including the Groupe Scholaire Saint Joseph, College Sainte Marie Irèn and Ecole Scientique de Filles de Muhanga and was hosted by the Catholic Institute of Kabgayi.

Monday’s graduation is the second completion of an Access program in Rwanda.

This group follows the first group of 20 students hosted by Kigali Health Institute and that was graduated on November 12, 2011.
