{Stromae, the French-speaking world’s singing superstar has praised Rwandan President Paul Kagame for being on the front of the Rwandan Patriotic Army to stop the Genocide committed against the Tutsi in 1994.}

Speaking to the press in Kigali, The “Papaoutai” hitmaker referred to President Paul Kagame as a hero because he did what nobody else would dare to do.
He said “I would be glad meeting His Excellency President Paul Kagame and it would be a great pleasure to me”.
“First and foremost I would thank him for saving Rwandans and thank him as well for the great job he is doing to re build the country”, he added.
Stromae stated that he is proud to be one of the people who approve Rwanda as a country of peace, wealth and development worldwide.
“I honor Rwanda as a country of my origin, and I am happy to testify that Rwanda is now a country of peace and no more hatred […] I am also glad that young Rwandese look up to me and I encourage them to love one another”, he added
The star is expected to make a private visit to his family in Kigali.
On Saturday, he is set to finally take the stage in Kigali the birthplace of his father in front of a 20,000 strong crowd.
Stromae, 30, was born to Belgian mother and Rwandan father Pierre Rutare, an architect and killed in the 1994 Genocide.
