Rwandans Urged to Exploit Existing Resources

On the Second day of his visit to Western province, President Paul Kagame has persuaded Rwandans to exploit the resources of Rwanda.

On Thursday 17th January 2013, President Kagame visited Cimerwa processing cement plant and Mashyuza Rice Mill-Sodar in Nyakabuye sector, Rusizi district.

Addressing residents drawn from eighteen sectors of Rusizi district the President said that it’s not understandable how a country like Rwanda may lack electricity energy with the existing untapped resources.

“It should not only be about managing resources, you must also work to create them”, Kagame said.

He focused on building relationships with neighbours especially DRC and Burundi.

“Let us continue making trade and good relationships with our neighbors, we want peace and development and together we can achieve it well”.

Speaking to people, Paul Kagame encouraged them to manage their property.

You can’t pride yourself in managing resources that don’t belong to us, let us work on building our own”, the President said
He added that, security is a fundamental of all.

“I want to promise you that security is guaranteed for every Rwandan anywhere in the country. No one can destroy what we have already built. They never succeed,” Kagame said.

He added that, we all have a role to play…your contribution will lead where we want it to be.
