Rwandans in Uganda wants the amendment of the article 101 of the constitution

Dozens of Rwandan nationals living and working in Uganda have submitted petitions to the Rwanda High Commission urging their lawmakers to amend article 101 of the Rwandan constitution to allow President Paul Kagame to stand for a 3rd term.

Their call comes just weeks after Rwandans from across the political divide marched to their parliament with petitions calling for the lifting of the presidential terms limit.

Lawmakers have already received 4 million letters requesting the amendment of the Rwandan constitution.

Rwanda is a country of over 11 million people.
