Rwandans in Turkey venture into apparels production

{Rwandans living in Turkey have launched and exhibited clothes branded “Like Rwandans” which they do produce and developed a website that will act as a market information platform connecting them with buyers. }

The launching ceremony was presided over by the Rwandan ambassador to Turkey, Gen Ceasar Kayizari who warmly appreciated efforts made by Rwandans everywhere in the world to keep the country’s name high and do Rwandans proud.

The representative of Rwandans living in Turkey, Mbarushimana Hassan, said that such activities are part of what they plan to achieve by participating in the global economy. He commended Rwandans in Turkey for being steadfast and lauded Rwandan embassy’s leadership for providing moral support and encouragement almost on a daily basis.

’Like Rwandans’, is a brand that will help to connect various activities of Rwandans living in Turkey as a way of carrying the flag of their country wherever they stay.

Through the website www.rct.rw, Rwandans living in turkey will be able to access and receive needed information and get exposure to investment opportunities available in Rwanda. Connecting individuals in need of continuing education in Turkey is among the functions to be provided by the website.

Currently, there are 155,000 Rwandans living in Turkey.
