Rwandans in Newzealand Commemorate Genocide Against Tutsi

Rwandan’s in Aukland NewZealand Monday have paid tribute to victims of the 1994 genocide against ethnic Tutsi.

The event was part of the 20th commemoration of the Genocide against ethnic Tutsi that claimed over a million lives.

Prayers were held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral presided over by Monsignor Bernard Kiely.

Rwanda was represented by Lady Clare de Lore McKinnon.
Also present at the Kwibuka20 event included; H.E. The Rt Honorable Lt. Gen. Sir Jerry Mateparae, Governor General of New Zealand, H.E. Honarable Dr Charles Murigande, High commissioner of Rwanda to New Zealand, Colin Keating, Former Permanent Representative of New Zealand at the United Nations and President UN security Council April 1994, Judge Jonathan Moses, Former Prosecutor at the ICTR in Arusha.
