The Minister made the call while officially opening a 7 day workshop organized for Rwandan sports Journalists.
The workshop was organized by National Olympic Committee in collaboration with Rwanda Sport Journalists’ Association-AJSPORT.
The Minister commended organizers of the workshop adding that Sport Journalists need to be equipped with necessary skills to enable them disseminate proper information to communities.
The Executive Secretary of National Olympic Committee, Parfait Busabizwa said NOC trains Sport Journalists to empower their professionalism and explaining to them about Olympic games.
Earlier this year, the Government of Rwanda mobilized local population to participate in sports activities to avoid some illness that may be arising from lack of engaging in sports.
