}
Just sixty people were selected out of all the commonwealth countries. Jean d’Amour will collect the award from Her Majesty the Queen in the United Kingdom, and he will participate in a one-week program where he will receive training, mentoring and networking opportunities.
AOG was started in 2011 and now has 215 members, and has served more than 1000 people across Rwanda with scholarships, food programs at hospitals, and other community service activities. As a Rwanda-based NGO, AOG works in three main issue areas: providing community service opportunities, education opportunities, and Grateful People’s Investment Fund to support young entrepreneurs across Rwanda.
Acts of Gratitude aims to foster the culture of giving back through exposing, educating, and empowering grateful people in order to save more vulnerable citizens and build a community of socially responsible leaders, entrepreneurs and volunteers for Rwanda.
AOGers are committed to repaying these debts of gratitude through active community involvement and sharing the burden of those in need. Acts of Gratitude is grateful for this recognition of our work by the Queen of England, and congratulates other winners of the award.
