{{President Paul Kagame has asked Rwandans to stand upto the truth by refuting all false accusations that some people are using to push Rwandans down.}}
Kagame was commenting on the hypocrisy of the west during the 10th National Dialogue in Kigali.
“We shall keep refusing these accusations. I don’t want us to look like we are accepting this.”
Meanwhile, the UN Group of experts published a report that accuses Rwanda to support M23 rebels that are fighting against DRC government due to failure to implement agreements of 23rd March, 2009.
“These so-called famous reports (UN Report on Congo) are pre-written” Kagame said.
“But these people are the ones who recruit ‘experts’ to investigate and confirm their falsehoods. They’ve no facts,” Kagame stressed.
Kagame noted that pushing for self reliance and dignity is good however, it comes with a cost.
“Some people want to push you down. You cannot accept this injustice meted on us every day. Rwandans must be angry at this; we must be seen to have sufficient anger at this injustice. We must fight for self reliance.”
“The west doesn’t want you to have a good profile. Why should we agree to be herded? We’re not cattle or sheep” Kagame challenged.
President Kagame shades light that Rwanda is not supporting ongoing DRC Crises yet there are other National problems that might be resolved first.
“I have my own problems. If you want me to solve my neighbors’ problems, and then pay me” He said that “Somebody killed Congo and brought corpse to our doorstep. They are now calling for our punishment”.
He says that a $1bn-a-year UN project has failed to save Congo and now they are putting their failures to Rwanda.
