Rwandan Student Injured in Moscow Dorm Fire Accident

A Rwandan student has been injured in a dormitory fire accident in southwestern Moscow.

Nduwayo Keba Tatien a first Year Medic Student at Russia State Medical University was injured on Wednesday night during a Dorm Fire accident.

Speaking to IGIHE, an Official from Rwanda’s Embassy in Russia said Nduwayo was taken to Hospital adding that the embassy is providing all necessary assistance.

According to sources in Russia a total of 43 people were injured in the fire but not all of them required hospitalization.

Russian Police believe the fire could have started from an electrical short. The fire started in one of the dormitory rooms on the seventh floor of the 16-storey building and was extinguished at 11:33 p.m. local time (20:33 GMT) Wednesday night.
