yesterday sent on remand A Rwandese national over allegations of
impersonation.}
Grace Mario Wamahoro (21) A Rwandese citizen allegedly entered Uganda
through Nyakabande transit center in Kisoro district where she claimed
to be a Congolese national.
Ivan Ruhinda the protection officer working with UNHCR told court that
the suspect masqueraded as a Congolese refugee to enter Uganda.
However, Wamahoro denied the allegations.
She told court that while at Nyakabande she had revealed her true identity but wondered why the authorities in the UNHCR are turning against her.
Barigye Saidi the grade one magistrate remanded her to Kamwenge
government prison until 27th November 2014 when her case will come up
for mention.
