Rwandan-Chinese Parliaments to strengthen bilateral cooperation

{The speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Donatille Mukabalisa received the ambassador of the People’s Republic of Chine, His Excellence He Shen Yong-Xiang on Wednesday 24th December 2014. }

According to the speaker of The Chamber of Deputies “the aim of this courtesy call of The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Chine was to bring a New Year best wish message from the president of the China’s National assembly to the speaker. It was also a time to talk about the bilateral cooperation between China and Rwanda and more specifically about the cooperation between two parliaments.”

The ambassador of the People’s Republic of China said that there are many things to learn from each other parting from peace culture, protection of the environment where as he said Rwanda does an excellent job, and on the fighting against corruption (where he described the Rwandan government clean from corruption). On the point of fighting corruption he said it is a point on which china consider as very important.

The embassy based cooperation between Rwanda and China has contributed to development through education and investment sectors. The speaker of the chamber of deputies reminded that in investing in Rwanda, Chinese firms will widen job market. That way it will contribute to decreasing the number of the unemployed. The Chinese investment will be in energy sector, as the speaker said it will also trigger more investments since a country with flourishing energy sector facilitates other investments.
