Rwandair Recieves New Boeing 737-500 Aircraft

{{The national Carrier RwandAir has received a new Boeing 737-700 NG aircraft .

According to Rwandair CEO John Mirenge, the new aircraft will replace the Boeing 737-500 which has been in service for about 20 years.}}

The Aircraft flew from German and touched ground at Kigali International Airport on June 27.

Mirenge said, “Our vision as an airline is to make sure that we operate aircrafts not exceeding six years and above.”

Silas Lwakabamba, the Minister for Infrastructure, “Everybody should be proud of this airline because of the contribution it’s making for us, especially on trade promotion, tourism and aviation industry; many airlines are coming here partly because of the success story of RwandAir.”

He added, “We are not only giving Kigali International Airport a facelift but also ensuring that Bugesera Airport is ready by 2017. This will not only support Kigali International Airport but also boost our aviation industry.”
